Ideal for fans of Broyhill’s playful pieces as well as Lane Furniture’s novelty dressers, United Furniture Corporation dressers are the sort of dynamic pieces that express the Mid-Century Modern era’s true exuberance. Ideal for those who appreciate the principles of Danish Modern design, but crave something more stylistically adventurous, United Furniture Company applied a wide range of Mid-Century trends (think Brutalism, Atomic design, Regency design) to functionalist, Danish-inspired silhouettes. Key among the brand’s most iconic pieces are its high boy dressers. Possessing a form similar to a low-profile armoire, these United Furniture Company chests of drawers feature a double-door cabinet placed atop a stack of drawers.

Use one of these pieces as an entryway credenza or as a dry bar in a living room or dining room. The United Furniture Company produced this style with a number of collections, including their iconic sculpted “pyramid” collection. Showcasing doors with a three-dimensional pyramid shape, these dressers can be found with an upper cabinetry portion and lower drawers as well as the reverse configuration. This United Furniture Mid-Century dresser design was also produced in a wide array of finishes, including ebonized, bleached, and natural walnut wood. Similar to the raised pyramid motif, other United Furniture Corporation collections feature dramatic, easily identifiable motifs, including a repeated cut-out semi-circle pattern, an asymmetrical “pleated” wood effect, and a deep-relief carved Brutalist design.
