Spitzmiller & Norris, Inc. has been practicing remarkable residential architecture since 1985. Our foundation has been built on distinctive, inspired, personalized designs. We are design specialists rather than engineers, devising detailed plans with their extensive knowledge of the construction of new houses, the renovation of existing houses, and the proper restoration of houses with historical significance. We also provide exemplary architectural renderings or presentation drawings.

Our team's understanding of architecture enables Spitzmiller & Norris, Inc. to effectively handle more than 100 design projects per year. Our clients reside from the coast of California to the Eastern Seaboard and often times commission us to design second and third homes. Our work is frequently published and recognized for design excellence nationally. Previous commissions also include the design development of BlackBerry Farm, located in Walland, Tennessee. The cottages and out buildings, with their signature residential allure, have drawn guests from far and wide.

We are particularly proud of receiving four Excellence in Preservation Awards from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, five time winners of The Institute of Classical Architecture & Classical America’s 2009, 2010 , 2011, 2013, and 2019 Philip Trammell Shutze Award as well as accolades from Southern Living and Southern Accents.
