Discovered at an estate sale in Virginia, they were manufactured at one of the fine furniture houses in North Carolina. The Mid-Century style pays homage to the earlier Art Deco period when very similar chairs were also quite popular. They are sound and sturdy chairs. The original chintz upholstery had seen better days, so we had the interior reupholstered with a stunning, teal chinoiserie print. The exterior is done in a contrasting white linen blend. These are sturdy upholstery fabrics that will hold up forever -- or until you decide to reupholster them! (Please note: All computer monitors show colors differently. This teal is slightly more blue-ish than green-ish.) The legs have an ebonized finish. These diminutive chairs measure 35 inches tall at the crest with seat heights of 18½ inches.
