Two lions, each holding a ball, mounted on rectangular plaque and used as door knockers
Exquisitely sculptured in Renaissance style
The plates are decorated with open work frames
The lion is a characteristic subject around the most important buildings in Venice, reminiscing the Lion of St. Mark, symbol of the city , and formerly of the Republic of Venice
Both are mounted on wooden stands for display, but they could also be a gorgeous accent to any high end estate door
