Born in Paris, Jacques Lamy studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, where he was the recipient of the Prix de Rome in 1971 to attend Casa de Velázquez in Madrid. Lamy merged Classical and Renaissance techniques of buon fresco with modern materials, creating a distinct signature style. Lamy was the recipient of numerous medals, prizes and juried awards including the Silver Medal for Industrial Creation, He exhibited internationally with success, including in France, Texas, Senegal, Spain and California. less
