Description: Here we have an antique French gilt bronze oval wall plaque. I'm not sure what this was salvaged from but … more Here we have an antique French gilt bronze oval wall plaque. I'm not sure what this was salvaged from but it's absolutely gorgeous! Stunning high relief detail of French peasants. The man is on one knee with a garland of flowers for his love. There are doves, an urn of flowers, trees with foliage and a cherub. Such incredible detail! Very good condition, no breaks nor repairs. However there are some casting pinholes here and there as seen from the back. These are common to highly detailed cast bronze and not noticeable from the front, but please examine photos carefully. Lovely warm patina. I've taken pics outside so you can see some of the gilt wash is worn off. Nice large size, would make a fabulous wedding gift. So so rare and beautiful.
