A very beautiful Grand Tour oil painting of the Madonna done in the Renaissance style. The drawing is very nice and painting seems quite old. I believe it was created for sale to a wealthy tourist possibly in the 18th or early 19th century.
Condition: Photos do a good job of showing condition. Clearly the reds and blues are fugitive (faded). This fading occurs when less expensive pigments are used. less
