I have been an art lover since I was a little girl. My mother, grandmother and grandfather were all artists. I can still remember the smell of turpentine in our apartment in Montreal where I grew up.
I have collected and inherited a fair amount of art. Lots of variety. My grandparents were from Paris, and travelled around Europe in their younger days and bought art. My grandmother did beautiful embroidered paintings with vivid colors and wonderful textures. I will be putting Limited Edition copies of these in my shop.
They travelled a great deal in Italy, as well as all over Europe, where they bought many black and white photos that are now quite old. These you will see in my shop.
My grandmother also purchased many colour prints which are beautiful. She chose a wide variety of subject matter and they are all spectacular. Not everything is in my shop at the moment, but over time I will be offering many other pieces. Please do come again for a visit to see more of the collection.
I do not want my family art to flood the world. Therefore I plan on keeping all pieces to a Limited Edition of 150 pieces of each painting or photograph.
I use the very best artisans to create each print. They are Giclee prints, so you are guaranteed a beautiful piece where the colours, the light and the essence are captured beautifully.
The paper I use for these prints is a very important part for me. I have chosen to use only Hahnemuhle papers, which are German made since 1584. These papers come from renewable, natural raw materials which are free of toxins, are acid free and vegan. These papers are of archival quality and will last for a minimum of 100 years.
Hahnemuhle papers are high end. Using the Giclee process of ink jet printing results in extraordinary print results. The paper’s texture allows for bright colours, deep blacks, excellent contrast and outstanding reproduction of details. The end result is an image with striking pictorial depth.
These prints are offered unframed. I feel most people prefer to choose how they want to display their art. The colour of the frames and matting needs to harmonize with their interiors.
The print sizes offered are 11 x 14 and 16 x 22.
When you see one of the prints where I have not written very much about it, this means that it is rare and there is limited information available.
Please do have a look at the pieces in my shop. Enjoy!
Thank You, Zizi
