Through natural curiosity and captivating use of color, I draw on memory, imagination and intuition to create landscapes that resonate with the spirit of place. I am drawn to transitions in nature: shifts in season, light and the sky. I work slowly, developing imagery in layers.
My originals are painted in acrylic gouache, a matte surface acrylic that allows for depth of color and fine detail. Giclees are printed in a small regional shop where they receive careful attention. The giclee reproductions are meticulously printed on luxurious 340gsm archival cotton (tree free) paper with lightfast inks.
My ‘Art for Comfort’ Jacquard woven coverlets provide art in a comfortable and useful form. Their rich texture adds a touch of visual warmth to any home décor. The original designs, sketched by hand, are a reflection of my interest in the natural world. The cozy 50” x 60” throw blankets are woven in the USA of 100% cotton.
