The great weight of the Worthington collection was acquired by a private collector, a lifelong collector who traveled to over 50 countries pursuing and acquiring thousands of special works of art. As a result, Worthington’s inventory is so expansive that the gallery believes it can meet most client’s needs from its own inventory.
However, our team of professionals often consult and advise clients and members regarding locating and purchasing specific art pieces not held in Worthington’s extensive inventory. Given Worthington’s highly knowledgeable and experienced specialists, Worthington will authenticate, appraise and market individual pieces, collections and estates that are or contain important works of art. Worthington will acquire or sell pieces of art owned by its clients and members in its own galleries, web based virtual gallery, and through its live and online auctions. These auctions occur several times a year serving both a national and international audience.
