I lived in Somalia for 3 years (before anarchy) then France outside Geneva for 20 years and traveled for public health work 60 to 70% of that time to Africa (some to Asia and the Middle East). I collected antiques in France and on my travels, especially when working in Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania and South Africa. I would bring them back as my second bag (amazing what the European airlines would transport then). I am downsizing to move into senior living in 2024. Later I will sell some old Japanese tansus that I acquired while living in San Francisco.
