My eponymous shop has very humble beginnings. My mother Alice had six children in eight years and had no time for objects in our home even though she truly had a poet's soul and an artist's eye.
My love of detail and beauty started with the things in nature she pointed out.
Choosing beautiful and meaningful, inspiring and expressive things for our home and environment is an exercise in learning about our interests and intelligence and spirit as well as surrounding ourselves with the things we find comforting and familiar.
Curating the expression of love and art seems a lofty goal but is really quite simple.
The details captivate me.
I love the hand and mind of the artist especially. Modern or Timeworn; each object and the story or history behind it are my obsession. You will see that in the choices I curate in the shop.
I love what I do and the connection to my customers and clients turned friends is the greatest gift.
