I am the 3rd generation in my family of collectors that also sell and I am happy to continue on from my father and grandmother. My father's mother was a great seeker of the unusual and interesting collectibles. She came from the blue grass state of Kentucky and especially loved American folk art and ceramics.
My father was born in the mid-west USA and lived a great portion of his life, after school, in Europe. He bought and sold in Europe and continues to buy and sell, here in L.A., antique furniture and any other pieces that takes his fancy at the time.
And then we come to me and my son. I was born and grew up in England and have an appreciation for the history behind antique, vintage and old "things".
My son was born here in L.A. Ca. and it looks like he may continue and be the 4th generation of collector sellers in the family, He is still young and loves to help me search for "things", which to him is something like a toy or sports or Lego type treasure.
I have started to sell on Chairish because I have such a large and varied assortment of "things" which I have "collected" over the years. Yes I have started to sell, but since searching and buying is so much fun I still find "things" now and again...and the beat goes on...
