I have a woodworking shop that specializes in making hand crafted fine furniture. The best style description I can give my furniture is a Transitional style in stained and clear finished hardwoods. I have worked in a Colonial & Traditional shop, another who often made Arts and Crafts furniture, and for seven years in a Danish Modern small lot production shop. I love aspects from each, as well as other influences, and the ability to show the beauty of the natural grain of the wood and some of the figuring it can present. I often use veneers to show the full width of the tree grain, or to create various patterns. I also often use older joinery techniques such as mortise and tenon, and hand cut or fit dovetails.
I have over 30 years in woodworking and another dozen in mid to high end remodeling, and hope to continue till I am over 80. (maybe training a replacement in the process)
