My name is Jeanette Deutermann with a website by the same name. I’m a Mom, an entrepreneur, an interior designer, a seamstress, and an education activist. I have always followed my passions and I put those passions into everything I create for my customers. I grew up watching my mother sew clothing, prom dresses, pillows, and drapes, which eventually became a successful business. When I decided I wanted to be home to take care of my children, I began working with her, and learned the sewing craft that is now so rarely passed down to the next generation. I have been in the trade working in residential homes and commercial restaurants on custom curtains, drapes, pillows, and cushions, for 19 years. The Printed Pillow was born out of these passions and skills I have developed and nurtured along my path in life. I still divide my time between running a statewide and local education organization, fighting to bring whole child teaching and learning to our public school classrooms, and fabricating custom window treatments, pillows, and cushions.
