Original Contemporary Abstract Paintings
My work is a meditation on the tension between intention and spontaneity—an exploration of how conscious choices intertwine with the unpredictability of the creative process. Rooted in the urban landscape of New York City, where I was born and raised, my art reflects both the structured rhythms of city life and the complex, often chaotic patterns of the subconscious mind.
I use a mixture of highly pigmented oil paint and cold wax as my primary medium, which allows me to build layers of texture and color in a dynamic, organic way. The process itself is a dance of addition and subtraction, where I continuously push and pull material to reveal the history and evolution of each piece. The layers accumulate over time, leaving traces of my hand and decisions, while also opening up space for chance—unexpected textures and shifts in color that emerge naturally through experimentation.
Experimentation is central to my practice. I embrace the unknown, constantly seeking new ways to challenge the traditional boundaries of oil painting. This willingness to explore and test the limits of the medium allows me to create work that feels both grounded and liberated—structured in form but spontaneous in outcome.
I studied fine art at Purchase College and the School of Visual Arts in New York.
My work is in private collections in the US, UK, Japan, and Europe and has been featured in Elle Decor.
