The Seattle-based visual artist Shyun Song creates abstract, minimalist paintings using geometric forms. Whenever a meaningful concept comes across her mind, she begins formulating a design. She feels free in spirit to apply any and all colors that will best evoke her compositions, resulting in a bright, colorful and dynamic body of work. As mentioned in Architectural Digest, Song was commissioned in 2019 to create a series of 10 paintings for the Thomas Pheasant-designed townhouses at Rosewood Washington D.C., a five-star luxury boutique hotel in Georgetown. Song has recently completed a second commission of 4 paintings for Rosewood.
