Sean Wu was born in Beijing, China in 1954 and moved to the United States in 1987 to pursue a graduate degree in Computer Science. He worked as a software engineer for 30 years before retiring in 2020. In his free time, Sean is a self-taught painter who has been pursuing his passion for art since childhood. While working full-time as a software engineer, Sean dedicated his evenings, weekends, and holidays to painting. He began his artistic journey as a realist portrait artist and has since migrated to realist-impressionist landscape animal portraiture. Sean has experimented with various techniques, from using a palette knife to different brush styles, and has explored different color palettes, ranging from realism to impressionism. His favorite painting subject is horses, and he strives to capture their beauty and strength in his work. Since retiring, Sean now paints as a full-time artist daily, with a focus on creating and sharing his art with the world. He plans to continue painting for the rest of his life, leaving behind a legacy of stunning artwork.
