My work is inspired by the human figure and finding ways to create an object visually ambiguous, offering different lectures , open to the potential of a fluid perception. My Initial interest in the representation of the folding of fabric designs over the body led me to create contour drawings of the human figure with stripes and subtracted spaces.
Over the years of working with resin on wood panels, I developed a technique using silicone poured on wood panels and allowed to cure directly on the surface, once the silicone is cured and rubber like I transferred the drawing by pressing the pencil lines on the silicone, then using a sharp blade I cut out the area where the resin is poured an left to cure and harden, at this point the mask of silicone is removed from the surface, the work is done
Each work is unique the silicone mask cannot be reused once removed from the surface.
