Idlewild is a metaphor for a state of calm, quiet, or inactivity. It is the feeling of leisure or a moment in time when there is nothing you need to do. Put simply, it is symbolic of the emotion you feel on vacation or holiday.
At Patrick Thomas Vintage (PT Vintage), our vision is to help designers and homeowners create their feeling of Idlewild in their homes. Your home should be your personal oasis. Your everyday getaway. Your safe haven. Your sanctuary.
WHO IS PATRICK THOMAS VINTAGE?
Our brand was founded from a love of antique and vintage design, embracing the warmth and calming nature that unique, eclectic pieces bring to a home.
Some of our earliest memories as children are going to auctions, antique stores, and flea markets to hunt for treasures with our families.
Treasure hunting remained a passion into adulthood when we began to fill our own homes with furniture, art, and other functional items repurposed into home decor. As long-time horse owners and artists, we are specifically inspired by bringing original artwork and unique equestrian items into interior design.
While PT Vintage launched as our passion project, our corporate careers in marketing and technology provided the business acumen to grow PT Vintage into an e-commerce store with a global footprint, sourcing items from the Americas, Europe, and beyond and shipping to customers nationwide.
