As childhood friends in Connecticut, the founders of Pappas Miron Design developed an appreciation for beautiful interiors, art, and travel from a very young age. Design, decoration, and collecting were such an integral part of their lives that it was inevitable that the pair—Alexandra Pappas and Tatyana Miron—would grow up to found an interiors firm. They have developed their portfolio over the past eight years through word-of-mouth based referrals, from clients who love the fresh eye they bring to residential homes of all styles. Projects vary from traditional Upper East Side pre-war apartments, to summer homes in Nantucket and the Hamptons, to a bachelor's elegant Soho loft. Threaded through each project is a unique perspective that reflects a love of rich colors, unique textiles, contemporary pieces, and one-of-a-kind custom furniture and antiques.
For Pappas and Miron, the client-designer relationship is very personal, starting with the initial consultation and continuing through final installation. Both partners attend meetings and work in tandem to bring a distinct but complementary point of view. From commission to conception, Pappas Miron works with the client to consider their lifestyle and future needs—delivering an environment with the intention of living well.
Before founding the firm in 2003, Alexandra graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in art history (including a semester in Paris), and worked in real estate development in Boston and Palm Beach and at Verdura Fine Jewelry in PR and Events. Tatyana graduated with a degree in art history and architecture from Tufts University and an Associates degree from the New York School of Interior Design. She worked in the offices of acclaimed New York-based designers Eric Cohler and Tori Golub prior to founding Pappas Miron.
