Niqui Carter (American, b. 1976) is a Brooklyn based photographer who has shown her work in New York, Brooklyn, Minneapolis, and Paris. She received her B.A.with a major in painting from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, in 1999, and studied photography at Parsons Paris,The New School, France, in 1998. Her work is a blending of both disciplines; Niqui brings her paintings to life through her photography. She uses a digital camera to create new forms and perspectives that could easily live as abstract paintings.
