Nicolette Capuano has been painting professionally since the age of 16. She received her BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design and went on to study in Florence, Italy thereafter.
Nicolette is the founder and principal designer of Nicolette Atelier, a mural and decorative arts and studio. As an expert in traditional fine art painting and specialty finishes she is the go-to force for custom art and finishes that address all aspect of image-making atmospheres serving both residential and commercial clientele as well the interior design and architectural community.
Her passion for interiors, art and design began as a child by watching her parents build custom homes. She saw the fulfillment it brought to create nourishing spaces for their clients. Nicolette decided to do the same, but with art.
Design centric and dedicated to a lifetime pursuit of creating experiential environments, she launched her abstract art line, Abstract Art Nicolette, with the goal exploring a smaller frame of reference and indulge her creativity in a minimalist direction. Her work is contemporary in aesthetic with graphic design, landscape, and architectural undertones. It seeks to explore balance, harmony, color and texture, and create meditative pieces.
She has been commissioned by residential and commercial clients across the US as well as in the UK, New Zealand and Ireland. She currently resides in Washington, DC with her yorkie Ronaldo.
