One of my favorite things to do is to take a walk around the neighboring trails where I live. It quiets my brain and gives me a sense of space and perspective. My aim as an artist is to transfer that feeling of vastness from the natural world to the viewer through paint. I like to use a palette that abstracts the environment and creates an atmospheric, fragile quality to my paintings. My brushstrokes tends to be soft and careful which gives the painting an almost velvet-like texture. Most of my work features the natural surroundings of the San Francisco Bay Area but everywhere I travel, I am moved by the beauty of the environment and it captures my imagination. I'm always looking for ways to share that feeling of space, quiet and sacredness through my work.
I have spent over ten years capturing the remarkable wonders of our world through my art. My work has represented areas from California to Maine to Taiwan to Japan and I hope to include more on that list. I currently live and work in California with my family. I have been exhibiting work since 2013 and my paintings are included in private collections around the West Coast.
