MR Architecture + Decor is composed of an extraordinary team of architects and designers passionately dedicated to the creation of beautiful environments. The firm's work is not characterized by a particular style, but by design integrity borne of intense study, constant experimentation, and broad experience. Each project begins by establishing a thorough understanding of the clients' needs and desires. The design process is approached with focused rigor, welcoming surprises that emerge at the intersection of thoughtful inquiry and inspired enthusiasm for the built environment.
MR Architecture + Decor's work has received widespread recognition in the industry's most prestigious architecture, interiors and design publications including Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, World of Interiors, Architectural Record, Interior Design and The New York Times 'T' Magazine. Notable residential projects include a ground-up waterfront home on Shelter Island, a solar-powered, geothermal house located in upstate New York, a 12,000 square foot duplex loft in SoHo, a new, ground-up townhouse on the Upper East Side, and a model apartment at the One57 tower on Central Park South. Distinguished commercial projects include the flagship Christian Dior men's and women's stores in Manhattan, The Parker PS Hotel in Palm Springs, a private art gallery in the Pacific Northwest, and flagship stores for fashion brands Pierre Hardy, Lanvin, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and J. Mendel.
In the spring of 2017, MR launched their first monograph, featuring a selection of the firm's residential work over the past twenty years, published by Abrams Book. MR Architecture + Decor has a capsule furniture collection available through Maison Gerard.
