I'm a third generation dealer, and bought my first piece way back in 1973, when I was ten years old. Over the years we have become a notable and trusted resource for many prominent collectors, interior designers and film production companies. We helped furnish the Edison & Ford Winter Estates Museum, in Fort Myers, Florida, and we've represented several other prominent museums at auction.
A few notes about King's Grant Antiques:
1. We usually list our items as being in "good" condition with "wear consistent with age and use", but will note "very good", "excellent" or even "like new" condition when merited. We prefer our clients to be pleasantly surprised. If we have found significant flaws that go beyond age appropriate wear, we always describe them in the Condition section.
2. If we restore an item, or observe that an item has been repaired, restored or altered by previous owners, we always make note of that. When we do work on pieces we go for an "old but well cared for" rather than "new" look. Most people prefer vintage items to have some 'patina'.
3. At King's Grant Antiques we care about our customers and want to give you the best products and service possible. We want you to shop with us again. We try to respond to messages and questions in a timely manner.
