I have been an artist my entire life, drawing on scrap paper my mother would bring home from work, and making objects from the creek mud in my home town in northeastern Ohio. I then went to Saturday children's classes at the Cleveland Museum of Art (which retained on of my pieces in their collection). The urge continued into adulthood at Cleveland Institute of Art and the University of Illinois. Additionally, I always enjoyed working with plants, benefiting from my mother's English garden background.
As a professional, I have married my passion for ceramics and plants into whimsical patterns of imagined nature. My aim is to express life in its abundance. I offer hand-painted functional and unique ceramic pieces.
I spent many years with a painter whose art work I have. His canvases are exuberant, bold, unexpected, often breaking the bounds of standard shapes and dimensions. Most are acrylic on canvas or wood.
