FRG OBJECTS & DESIGN HOME is located in the fashionable Hudson gallery and restaurant area known as BELO-3rd. Entering the light-filled 3000 sq. foot, second floor space at 217 Warren Street is like being transported from Upstate NY to a Manhattan Art Gallery / Design Center combined.
Rick Gillette, with three successful professional careers in the magazine, advertising, and design world to his credit, opened the FRG gallery in the fall of 2013. Gillette’s goal was to showcase his interior design esthetic and create a new shopping experience by pairing fine art and furniture. One might think that the concept is nothing new, it may not be and yet Gillette’s passion for and ability to transform even the mundane is what sets him apart. Whether he is showing re-imagined vintage furniture, custom furnishing and lighting or a curated collection of glass, Rick’s decades of working in the visual arts gives it all that camera-ready look.
In addition to that, Gillette's collaborations with artists to create modern exhibits that are unique in their approach to the abstract genre, result in an establishment not to be missed in the Hudson Valley.
