Barbara Elza Hirsch, a French American interior designer, has been principal of Elza B. Design, Inc for 15 years. She grew up in Europe and Washington D.C. with a very creative mom, who exposed her to art and color at an early age. Her sense of style is influenced by her European roots and background in art, fashion design and illustration.
As a 3-D thinker, Barbara visualizes your space from the moment she walks in. Establishing and reviewing the functional needs of the space is the foundation of your design journey. Her design signature features fun and eclectic touches blended with texture and color, while also combining art and fabric to add personality to your space. Her passion is apparent, as she helps her clients express their style while delivering an interior that shines.
Barbara lives in an old farmhouse with her human family, Matisse the giant cat and Flora and Gazpacho, two long-haired dachshunds. When she is not gardening or testing a new recipe, you can find her on a yoga mat or napping with a book.
