Bridgette Duran
American, Born 1985
Female
Duran is a self taught painter who worked in Real Estate Finance starting at age 17, after years working in the field she decided to pursue a career in the arts. Duran attended the Fashion Institute of Design + Merchandising in Los Angeles. She majored in Visual Communications with an emphasis in Graphic Design. She took assistant jobs in Fashion Styling, and Interior Design for 5 years. In 2015 she moved to Paris to study French at Sorbonne, while in Paris she discovered open uninstructed atelier’s around the city and attended regularly for a short time. Duran discovered her passion and talent in the arts so she taught herself how to paint in every artistic style and medium by copying the old masters. She returned to California and began showing her work on social media and began selling her artworks on various platforms, starting her career. Duran now lives and works New York City.
“My artwork explores the meditative and subconscious. I’ve always been preoccupied with the unseen world around us trying to understand quantum, mechanic and metaphysics. The unseen forces pulling us together, which is the ultimate mystery of the universe. “
