Serenity is both the driver and the outcome of my artistic expression. This desire for stillness dictates every aspect of the work, from the inclusion or omission of elements to the composition and choice of colors. I paint with a limited palette of the three primaries, two secondaries and white. Blacks are mixed and chromatic.
Mary Anne’s paintings have been acquired by Netflix, have been shown at numerous exhibitions around the country and are held in private collections throughout the United States as well as in Mexico and Southeast Asia. Largely self-taught, Mary Anne learned primarily by studying the work and process of accomplished artists and creating subjects that inspire her artistic muse.
