As a Bicultural Franco-American , I spent most of my life in Paris ,France my mothers country. I studied at ENSBA ( École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts) with a focus on Art History and Architecture as well as L'École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne , as I was passionate about Haute Couture ( the former was a prerequisite for the latter in line with the parents) . But , to their surprise I went to work for houses such as Pierre Balmain , Givenchy and the Countess Jacqueline de Ribes and more . My mentor and sometime boss "Monsieur" , Hubert de Givenchy took me with him if I was lucky on his extensive antique shopping in and around Paris and occasionally at a private home . He was a master of many things and a very ardent collector of 18th C antiques in the style of Louis XV . He taught me more than I ever learned in school and advised me on my personnel collecting and on where to buy . When Couture all but died , I eventually turned my apartment on the Quai St Michel ( the picture above is taken from the window there ) into a showroom and ,thanks to my parents insistance at being diplomed at ENSBA , was able to seemlessly take on specialty design clients ( mostly foreign ) who wanted a designer to help create an authentic " Grandes Siecles " interior , and I was also able to procure certain pieces for clients & designers , from proper sources , as well as supplying from my now overflowing collection . In 2009 I decided to spend more time in the USA , and started the process of transporting all my treasures on two Cargo ships to the port of Miami , where I have a paternal grandmom . What I am selling on this site is some of those pieces.
