I’m inspired by a sense of old world charm -- candlelight dinner parties, dimly lit jazz clubs and cafes with rich color palettes. I try not to take things too seriously and make art that brings a smile and a sense of delight. I like to incorporate a sense of whimsy often with dogs at dinner parties or girls wearing pretty dresses smoking long cigarettes with a glass of champagne. Ultimately, I try to connect to something that I find elegant, fun or a pretty color palette or sunlight washing over a silhouette wearing a strand of pearls. I am grateful to have been able to study painting at California College of Arts, and with renowned artists such as Jennifer Gennari, Christine Lashley and Suchitra Bhosle. I look forward to refining my craft, and to learn and grow as an artist throughout my life.
