This really is an Exceptionally Nice and Very Rare Antique American Silverplate Bowling Trophy. Monumentally Large Size Measuring 19 1/2 inches Tall. It is Rendered in the Classic Double Handle Design with a Transitional Art Deco -- Arts and Crafts Influence. It is Signed By the Maker on the Underside of the Base by The Well and Documented Pairpoint Manufacturing Company that By the Way Was Actually Located in New Bedford Massachusetts. This is the NEW BEDFORD MASSACHUSETTS INDUSTRIAL BOWLING LEAGUE - ALDREC ELIMINATION CUP - SEASON 1925 to 1926 Trophy. It then was Subsequently Awarded During the Seasons of 1926 to 1930. It has Extensive Beautifully Hand Engraved Information on Both Sides Front and Back. NOTE That the Assortment of Bowling Teams were Sponsored By Some Very Well Known Companies. It was Presented to the Team Winners By ROBERT E. CROWLEY to MANOMET MILLS in 1926, US POST OFFICE in 1927 and ACUSHNET MILLS in 1928. The Reverse Side States that it was Won by THE NEW BEDFORD GAS & ELECTRIC LIGHT COMPANY Team in the 1928 to 1929 and 1929 to 1930 Series. It also has a List of Those Individual Winning Bowlers Names. It is in Very Good Overall Original Condition and Displays Greatly!. Imperfection Noted there is a Small Dent on the Reverse Side at The Date 1929 & WINNING Area. It is Quite Tarnished in Some Areas and Has Some Aged & Weathered Metal Lacquer Surfaces Giving it a Wonderful Authentic Old Look that Cannot be Duplicated. The Underside of the Base is Stamped with the Pairpoint Company Mark and it has a Small Paper Label that Reads " LACQUERED - CLEAN ONLY WITH A DAMP CLOTH. Added Note - I actually Purchased this Trophy in New Bedford Mass.
It Measures Overall Approx. 19 1/2 inches Tall x 12 inches Long x 9 inches Wide.
