Steve McQueen was an avid motorcycle and race car enthusiast. He often performed his own stunts in his movies. Remember the famous car chase in "Bullitt" and motorcycle chase in "The Great Escape"? McQueen even contemplated being a professional race car driver. He actually competed in several professional races.

(1923-1977)
Chester Maydole moved to Los Angeles in 1947 after World War II to pursue his education in the arts. He became interested in photography while visiting a film set and began practicing on his neighbors, one of whom was Clint Eastwood. Later he began working full-time doing portfolio pictures for actors and models. In the 60’s he began attending studio premieres and parties and worked behind the scenes and on film sets. The celebrities that found themselves on the other side of his lens included: Steve McQueen, Sally Field, Mia Farrow, Raquel Welch and Ann-Margret.
