- Unusual Brass based Driftwood lamp. I have an active mind so the first thing I thought of was a Breaching … more Unusual Brass based Driftwood lamp. I have an active mind so the first thing I thought of was a Breaching Whale. This lamp came out of Jerome Stein's estate in Torrington. I believe he made it. Jerome was a local Connecticut artist. The shade on this is atypical for it is shape like a racetrack and it appears to have strands of wool surrounding it. So there are three elements to the composition. 1.A custom brass base 2. A custom wool shade by Artemis Studios designed loosely to allow the light to escape. 3. The Driftwood. I might even project the notion of Ikebana which is a fundemental law of 3.....heaven, earth, and man. Shade is 25 in. wide 14 in. high and 15.75 deep Shade will be shipped seperately at no charge. less
