Based out … more Mads Berg is a Danish illustrator specializing in poster design, brand and editorial illustrations, cover art, and murals. Based out of Copenhagen, Berg has an impressive list of international clients. His work is characterized by a style that translates classic poster art into a modern and timeless look. This image was used to promote Bornholm, a Danish island in the Baltic Sea off the south coast of Sweden. It shows a woman looking out to sea from her perch on the rocks.

Born in 1975, Berg graduated from the Danish Design School in 2001 and has since been working independently as a professional illustrator and occasional lecturer at design schools across Denmark. He has been a jury member for the Best in Swedish (Kolla) and Norwegian (Visuelt) Contemporary Illustration on several occasions, in 2010 he was awarded the “Best Danish Children's Comic” prize, and in 2009 the Danish Design Prize. Berg’s poster art is represented at the Danish National Design Archives at the Design Museum Danmark. less
