Seated dhyana asana on double lotus throne, in the … Read more A beautiful, 4.15 lb, gilt bronze Tibetan sculpture of Buddha Vajrasatwa. Seated dhyana asana on double lotus throne, in the left hand a ghanta bell, in the right hand a vajra thunderbolt, scepters of combined male and female energy to conquer evil. A tight fitting dhoti and a shawl cover the shoulders, showcasing layers of necklaces. The downward tilting head is adorned with an elaborate crown anchoring a chignon which is topped by another small crown. The face with downcast eyes and serene expression. An open base reveals the aged patina. Statue is very finely done with realistic renderings with the gilding a beautiful slightly reddish gold. See less
