The design language and the materiality of Nelson's designs reflect his background in the aviation industry. Aluminium as a "signature material" and an "engineering" precision and workmanship. His luminaire designs are characterised by a purist aesthetic inherent in functional and technical details.
This table lamp is made of a combination of aluminium and chromed steel. A special feature here is the fine and thin rod of the luminaire made of solid material on which the spotlight engages. A trademark of these luminaires is the characteristic "cube switch box", a simple box made of milled aluminium with integrated push-button switches. The luminaire is labelled under the base.
