Farrah Fawcett was the ultimate poster pin up in the 1970s. These images were taken during the same session that captured the famous poster shot that went on to sell 12 million copies, making her famous overnight. At the time, she was a relatively unknown actress. The photo for the poster was taken in the summer of 1976, before she had signed for her hit role as one of "Charlie's Angels." Bruce McBroom graduated from the Photography Department of the Los Angeles Trade Tech College, and worked as an apprentice to Sid Avery in Hollywood. He was also a photographer in the U.S. Army Signal Corps. As a freelance photographer, he covered the Rock & Roll scene. In the 1960’s he photographed The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and The Doors. During his career he also worked for several major motion picture studios. His many film projects included The Godfather II, 10, E.T., 48 Hours, Twins, The Hunt for Red October, City Slickers, In the Line of Fire and Coming to America. His most famous work is the famous shot of Farrah Fawcett in a red swimsuit - the biggest selling poster of all time.
