Description: Professor Ugo Lucerni was one of the most prolific potters working in Italy at mid-century producing tiles and decorative wall … more Professor Ugo Lucerni was one of the most prolific potters working in Italy at mid-century producing tiles and decorative wall panels depicting classical mythological themes and archaic hunting and battle scenes. The "Three Graces" are depicted in this wall panel in a polychromed high glaze with an incised signature on the front. Lucerni received strong support from architect and publisher of Domus magazine, Gio Ponti early in his career. Throughout his career Lucerni participated in numerous exhibitions among them the 20th Venice Biennial of 1936, The Rome Quadriennales and the Landmark Exhibition "Italy at Work" "Her Renaissance in Design Today" in 1950.
