Hard wood of good quality, possibly boxwood
Well elaborated decorative brass fittings with hand chiseled engraved details
The corner ones resemble bats, while at sides there are stylized koi fish
An open work medallion featuring Chinese symbol adorns the top, possibly the "Lu" sign for prosperity
