An exceptional Chinese frame
Exquisitely carved nephrite jade in pale green color held by a rosewood outer frame
Open work lace-like lattice, featuring mythical beasts - two pho dogs at the top and two feng huang birds at the bottom, among entwined blooming branches
Four large pieces of jade, designed to match without interrupting the floral pattern
Circa second half of the 19th century, late Qing dynasty
All original
Measurements: Approx. 14" x 11.75" x 0.5"; the inside opening is 10.3" x 8.5"
