Linda Gissen (1938-2015) is a nationally recognized sculptor for monumental, functional sculptures and Judaica. She draws from her Jewish heritage in her works that are in the collections of museums, corporate, liturgical and private collections nationwide. Gissen created monumental, ornamental and functional sculptures of metal, glass, and enamel since 1967. In addition to her works that reside in museums, corporate, liturgical and private collections nationwide, Gissen's work is often sought by both Jewish and secular organizations as specifically designed awards to honor their benefactors. Gissen informs her works with spirit- sometimes awe and reverence, sometimes wry playfulness. Gissen uses both traditional methods and innovative techniques. less
