After the wedding, the suzanis were used as part of the tents decoration in their nomad tribes. Suzanis usually have cotton or silk fabric base, and are embroidered in silk or cotton threads. The designs include Turkic Shamanists motifs like Sun and Moon discs. Other motifs are flowers like tulips, carnations and irises; pomegranate is specially used to symbolize fertility as well as fish and birds to represent holiness and abundance. See less
