Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown green, white and red-orange stripes mosaic pieces and gold flecks Italian art glass sculptural fan shape conch / seashell bowl. The pattern of the bowl is made with alternating glass blocks or patchwork "Tessere" with lines in different colors, and stacked in 2 layers (as you see on the rim). It has a scalloped rim, and indents on the top, creating a very realistic shell shape. The seashell is profusely covered in heavy gold leaf throughout. It is made with thick glass, and is fairly heavy. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or coffee table. Use it as a catchall, candy or jewelry dish. Great piece for the seashell collector, or a Nautical theme room. Mid-century era. Created in the manner of the Barovier & Toso company. Measures 6 1/2" long x 6" wide x 2" high.
