A Antique Walnut Chippendale Chest of Drawers, Pennsylvania, Circa 1760s
Delaware Valley of PA or NJ area, circa 1760's
A nicely sized 4 drawer chest, 4 graduated drawers, with original straight bracket feet. Applied thumb-moulding around the top. The drawers are lip moulded.
Solid walnut construction, with poplar and cedar secondary woods. 3/4 depth dust dividers between the drawers.
Solidly built chest of drawers, house ready, and ready for service for another 300 years.
Size: 39" wide, 21" deep, and 35" tall. 37 3/4" case width.
Condition: Refinished. Minor scuffs and other age associated wear marks. Minor loss to the back moulding, as pictured. Feet are original, however the main glue blocks are missing. Large patch to the second drawer, right side. Brasses are replacements, in re-drilled holes. Various patches, and water marks/rings. see pictures.
