This Jack Bush rare vintage 1980 Abstract Expressionist lithograph print London exhibition poster " Night Spin " 1976, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The exhibition poster print is published by Helico Graphics Inc. in association with The Arts Council of Great Britain. Printed in Canada in 1980 by Herzig Sommerville in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the exhibition at The Serpentine Gallery London. It features an artwork image originally created by Bush in 1976 titled " Night Spin ". This was the first major exhibition of the Canadian Abstract Expressionist artist Jack Bush's artwork's since his death in 1977, and the 1st extensive survey exhibition outside of Canada.
Jack Bush ( 1909 - 1977 ) is a Canadian born Abstract Expressionist artist. His paintings are associated with The Color Field Movement and Post-Painterly Abstraction. Influenced by the Abstract Expressionist artists of The New York Movement, his art works are highly regarded at the forefront of Canadian Modernist Art. The works are held in the permanent collections of many prestigious museums including The National Gallery of Canada, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, The Tate Gallery London, The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and The Museum of Fine Arts Boston, among many others.
The rare out of print exhibition poster measures 23" W X 33" H. It is printed on high quality smooth finish paper stock with vibrant ink colors in a satin finish.
It is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
