These pieces, commonly known as "Welsh dressers" were a necessity of the 19th and early 20th century English kitchen or dining room. There were no pantries or other storage to speak of in the average English country home of the era~~just what you would expect to see in the downstairs kitchen on Downton Abbey!
Small upper cabinet with original leaded glass diamond paned door with key~~open display shelves are 7" deep with plate grooves~~proudly display your favorite Imari, Staffordshire or Majolica plates~~2 lower cabinets for ample storage~~original brass "teardrop" style hardware
Very versatile size~~perfect for a kitchen or dining area but equally impressive in a living area or entry hall
