Antique Oil on Canvas Painting Artist Signed E Field Rural Landscape Gilt Frame

Eagle Bay is pleased to offer for consideration in this listing an exquisite oil on canvas signed by Artist E Field in lower right-hand corner. It is a landscape scene of a barn with a lake in background. This impressionism painting appears to be very old. show its age, but no damages. Please inspect photos carefully especially where it was photographed at an angle and the light hitting, you can see where the canvas is very tired . It definitely shows age upon close inspection of the canvas. Unknown frame age.

Edward Loyal Field, born 1856 In Illinois and died in 1914. It appears he studied in Paris and was popular for Landscape Rural Views.

The painting size is 12" wide x 9" high in an ornate gilt wood and gesso frame which measures 17.25" wide by 14.25" high. There is green velour accenting the frame.
